Legend 2:

 "I Am Legend 2" is an upcoming sequel to the 2007 post-apocalyptic film "I Am Legend," with Will Smith reprising his role as Dr. Robert Neville and Michael B. Jordan joining the cast.

The sequel is set several decades after the events of the first film and will follow the alternate ending of the original movie, where Dr. Neville survives.

The film will be based on Richard Matheson's 1954 novel, according to screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, and will explore themes akin to those in HBO's "The Last of Us," which centres on a world that has been reclaimed by nature after a considerable amount of time.

The director has not yet been formally announced, and specific plot details are still being kept under wraps.
There is currently no confirmed release date for the film, which is still in pre-production.
